I shot her last May at Ft. DeSoto park while laying in the sand so I didn't frighten her off the eggs. Using a Nikon D2Xs with the 600mm lens it was shot at 1/500 sec. at F7.

Welcome John to BPN !! Plovers are wonderful birds to photgraph and to have the privelge of finding one on a nest must have been exciting. It is a real bonus to be able to get a glimpse of the eggs but I would like to have seen a little more head turn on the parent so as to see more of her eye. The OOF vegetation in front is a bit distracting but almost impossible to avoid unless a different angle might have better. What is really desirable in an image is a low angle and you defintitely have that. Thanks for sharing John and will look forward to your further posts.

Nice low angle, which unfortunately put some OOF leaves in the foreground.

    Welcome here to BPN, John!
