    I like the pose, setting, exposure control and BG and would put the bird a bit further to the right in the frame.

    I really love the tall curved blade of grass at right and how it balances the image.. It may be personal taste or the individual bird, but the yellows seem a bit muted and could use a slight boost in saturation. I like the bonus snack :-) I like the composition too.

    Overall a nicely composed image John. The insect is a bonus. Although I've never personally seen this species yet I did think that the head colour was brighter and deeper.
