I was walking past a patch of wild blackberries when this guy jumped up in front of me in some later (5:00 pm) afternoon lighting. I did a little pishing to get him to look toward me and he started flapping his wings a little. After processing I thought it looked like he was pointing to something.

Neat pose, perch, and BG. I would also remove the second catchlight...preferably the one in the "2 o'clock" position. Looks like the breeding season that is finishing up has taken its toll on this fella (ratty tail)!
The pose is nice and I love the background. I like the way the birds head and body and body are sharp while the blurred wings provide a sense of motion.
