    Default A polarizer question...

    I was viewing a beautiful image of a gator posted by Doug. The image is here:

    The bright regions (guess they're reflections) in water around the gator (i.e. background & foreground) in-between the green colours forms a sort of distortion. Will a circular polarizer help in such situation in removing the bright regions? I have never used a CP & am planning to buy one soon.

    Just wanted to know your thoughts...

    Yes they will The image will look very different A couple of things to remember You will loose a lot of light at max will be two stops or just over Also the orientation of the lens to the sun will dictate the strength of the filter about 90 degrees has the max effect
