Beautiful shot. Great light. I like the huge prey. Wonderful head turn.

Good angle, head angle and the food item adds to it. The bird looks a bit soft on my monitor. If it is not a heavy crop, I would sharpen it a bit more. I would increase contrast some and might crop a bit off the top.

I'm finding your subject rather low in the frame. Axel's comp recommendation is good, as well as having pointed the lens down more at time of capture. I like the colours, light, and the bird's catch.

Nice head turn and the bug is a big plus. Agree with above comments, in particular the one about the bird being a little low in the frame.

Good natural colours Chris, and Im actually fine with the comp. His catch a bonus.

Neat shot Chris. Understand the points raised about being low in the frame, but taking some off the top which will also de-centralize changes the image proportions and in honesty, I think you have it about right here. Dinner a big plus.

I'll throw my vote for a little higher also. Nice light here Chris and as mentioned, the catch is a bonus.

Very Good light, BG and his catch.
On my monitor the eye seems oversharpened (compare with the beak / face)

Great colors, nice pose, perch, and natural moment, light was a little harsh to me, BG looks nice but let me ask if you blur it in PS, also the bird is a tad oversahrpened IMO except for the bird's edges that actually look soft.
    Congratulations though.

Agree with above, but I might add canvas to the bottom instead of losing anymore up top. The BG colors compliment the subject very nicely here. Congrats!

Chris I think the comp is fine, but it could be a bit over sharpened?
