Image captured yesterday.
I am not sure of the ID, I thought it was a juv female southern Potchard but the yellow on the bill has me in doubt.
Can anybody identify this bird?

great landing pose Dave! if this was AR, it could be a cross that's developed there between a fulvous and white-faced duck. I wish the right wing had been as sharp as the left.

I was hoping you would help me with the ID Dave. Its definately a cross breed. A teal and a Fulvous??? Perfect timing as the feet skid across the water. Sharp where it counts, and love the texture of the water.
Thanks Morkel and Stu.
Stu neither the White faced or the fulvous have that colour on the bill and the body shape was more like the Potchard. I dont think it is a cross breed but could be an exotic.
I think this one is very powerfill, the sharp head and body versus the motion in the splash and wing gives a great action feel.
Wish only you were lower.
Congratulations!
