    Trying to edit my recent photos, somewhat complicated by cataract surgery! Once my second eye is done I can edit photos from my last trip.
    Anyway, a first try taken at Bempton Cliffs
    Canon 50D
    500 f/4
    ASA 640
    1/4000 @ f5.6
    Handheld using a fence for partial support.

    All comments and critiques welcome!

    I like the soft look to the white feathers and sharp face. I might take a little bit more off the bottom. But I like the image.

    Hi Deborah Must be tough with the colors All will be perfect soon !!!

    Love the pose and look back Wish he was on top of the ridge to see entire bird !!! Exposure looks good and its very sharp !! Bg just sweet !!!

    Hi Deborah - Love Gannets - like the look back. Exposure looks pretty good - soft light is the key with these guys.
    Too much of the foreground present at the bottom for my personal tastes - would crop some more. Nice detail in the eye - would run some NR and the background.
    Looking forward to seeing more :)

    Hi Deborah,
    I like the composition, image and capture...it's sweet...agree with the techs. would also slice 1/4 from the bottom and run noise reduction in the background...looking forward to your next one...:cool:
