    Default Bushtit

The house I live in has a tiny backyard. It is seriously about 15 feet square with one tree. So I had to laugh when I got this image in my yard today.

I heard these bushtits out the window and scrambled to set up a perch and my flashes. I used the birds call to attract them and it worked like a charm.

There is a lot to like about this. I really like the perch and the BG that has enough color and pattern to be interesting but not distracting. I only wish the bird were looking toward us instead of away.

Did you not want to strangle the little bugger as he sat there looking the other way? Sometimes I beg them to turn their heads and sometimes they listen.... Otherwise totally lovely. later and love, artie

Glen--beautiful little guy! I am so sorry he tuned away though! Beautiful bg, great perch--naughty little bird!
I had some success with a bushtit last year--I will share it a bit later.

Very nicely done, my only nit is the head turn.

That was well done Glen achieving such a lovely composition at short notice!! A more favourable head turn would have been the icing on the cake!!
