    Purple Gallinule

    June 06 2006 - Delray Beach , FL - Wakodahatchee Wetlands
    Canon 1D2N - Canon 500 IS - 1/800 @ 6.3 - ISO 400

    Wakodahatchee Wetands in South Florida is one place I have found
    that you are almost guaranteed a good Purple Gallinule image.

    Here this Gallinule is feeding on the tender buds of the Fireflag plant.

    Sweet! I would be tempted to loose the floers shooting out of him, providing it's OK with your ethics.

    Big welcome Michael it is good to see you here. The lighting and color in this image are beautiful and I like the action that you captured too which show off his over sized feet . I think if it were mine I would clone out the flower that is just behind his back. Look forward to seeing you soon and a Very Happy New Year !!

    Nice first post Michael and welcome to BPN. Beautiful colours in this. My only nit would be his back looks a tad oversharpened?
