We had very cold weather this morning and I saw this little blue tit fluffing all the feathers, looking like a featherball ;).

    Rose,

A very nice image, but I think it can take a little bit more sharpening. The image also seems a little bit saturated and has a hint of yellow cast. It could be my monitor or my eyes too that I am seeing it in this way. So let's see what others have to say about this one. Excellent work though and thank you very much for sharing...

They are cute when they're all fluffed up.....and you get so much more detail as well. Very nice composition and simplicity. I think the sharpening is ok but I do agree with the color cast......perhaps just too much saturation.

    Hi Rosl,

Lovely bird and bg here. I agree with the others about the color cast. Sharpening looks ok to me. This post should go in the wild and free forum since it has no HOM elements. In the future, please post nopn HOM images in the wild and free forum. Thanks.

I like the composition of this nice looking bird and the great BG - solid green. Correct the color cast as mentioned and you have a winner.

Thank you for looking at my picture.
I did not change anything with saturation. But I figured out, that I had the white balance correct for cloudy weather (as we have it here for the last weeks) and it was a sunny moment.
So I'll change that, and that's may be the solution?
No time for it today, but I'll show you tomorrow...
    Thanks for your good advice,

    GREAT FORUM!!!

    Hi Rosi!

Beautiful image and wonderful background! I am also learning from lots of great advice here. I was wondering how it might look with a big CCW rotation? I am thinking of maybe having a major diagonal perch from the lower left (instead of the lower right), and perhaps uprighting the bird a little more? Just a possible idea for another version to try.

    Thanks for the good advice.
I changed the white balance now, and you are right: this looks much better!

Thank you for sharing all the wisdom!
