    Welcome AJ!!!

Nice detail on the feathers, but extremely tight in frame.
Wish you had included your techs to help evaluate the situation. The angle looks pretty steep, maybe going further and using a teleconverter to flatten the angle would have helped.

    Clean, sharp profile!

A very pretty bird. The angle is a bit steep but the colors in the image make up for that. Fabs suggestions re. composition are solid advice.

Looking forward to seeing more :)

    Happy new year!

AJ the cropping is done to taste basically There are certain things that seem to make sense to most people

Birds very tight in frame look odd You need room for the bird
Also when the legs are covered by grass etc you still need to have room for the virtual legs

your bird positioning on both is very good Less room on back and more up front

Very nice pose, good exposure, lovely colours and sharp. Very tight in the frame, needs room for his tail also. Hope to see more from you AJ!
