Hey Paul,
The simple composition works here and I like the way you have presented the land mass. I wish you had a bit more color or drama in the sky because the tones in the sky just aren't strong enough to give it that wow factor. Technicaly this was nicely done and even compositionally.....just needed a bit of something else to take it to the next level. Doesn't always happen either!

I agree with Roman. You could try enhancing contrast and saturation in the sky but as you noted, early would be better.
