It is a wild and free bird, however it is a feral species here in Florida.
I made this image while conducting a workshop for the Kendell Camera Club at Crandon Park.
Crandon Park is located on Key Biscayne, just south of Miami.
Nikon D300, Nikon 600mm AFS
ISO 400 manual exposure, 1/640 @ F7.1
Flash set at -1.1/3 stop.
I was attempting to use the beautiful tail feathers as a background for a "head shot"
James
The tail feathers make a beautiful BG for this image. The detail and sharpness of that head are excellent. It's by far one of the more interesting Peacomb images that I've seen. Well done.
I like the selected crop James Very effective and show the bird so well !!! Tack sharp !!! ..... not sure about this feral thing ... they are just KeyBiscayne residents !!!! :)
