    La Jolla- this morning

After shooting the Pelicans, I threw some bread and got the gulls up in the air and of course the shutters clicking. So fun. Cropped 25%.

Outstanding image! Excellent exposure, compositon, and background. You've got a dust spot where the top wing bends.

Look in the dictionary under "Heermann's gull" and **bing** there's your shot. Well done Mike.

Cool image mike. The light is perfect.

I would crop a little looser, also normally you would like to see more space on the bottom, lastly I see some halos around the head.

This is as good as it gets. Fantastic. A great head position and a perfect pose. A bit more room would make it even better. Any bread involved in the image capture?

    later and love,

That's the most attractive gull I've ever seen. Really beautiful image. My immediate impression was that it is cropped a bit tight but I'm almost embarrassed to suggest that after all the previous feedback. If those folks don't think it needs more room, it must be A-ok! Great post.
