    Default On the Edges

    Late in December I, and several other photographers, came upon a flock of about 300 Bohemian Waxwings. I had only seen these beautiful birds a few times before this so I took the opportunity to capture a few images.

    This is the last of a series of four shots where the bird on the left landed close to the one on the right. The right hand bird's tolerance didn't last and this is what resulted. Even though both birds are not sharply in focus and almost out of the frame I still like this image for the story it tells.

    Rebel XT, Sigma 50-500mm @219mm, ISO 400, F5.6. 1/400 sec

    That is does and you were lucky to get it Did you crop some or is it full frame? Neat !!!
