Captured this image on the coast of Louisiana at the mouth of Rollover Bayou. This was my first time on a beach with my camera. Processed using Artie's documented workflow, ~90% crop. After reading other reviews of images, I wish I would have gotten lower for this image.

Nice light and details. I would give it a bit more room and would have preferred a lower angle if possible.

Thanks Axel. I guess I need to get a little dirty from time to time which is nothing new, but never thought about it with camera equipment.:D

The Avocet is one of my favourite species Tim and I like your capture here - Just needs a bit of room particularly right side for bird to move into. Did you manage to get a shot with more separation between the legs?

John, unfortunately this is the only image I was able to capture before it flew off. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Tim nice image of a species that I have nothing on. I'll echo Axel's and John's comment about a bit more room to the right of the bird.

Beautiful capture Stephen and excllellent detail and eye contact. I agree a little more room to the right would strengthen this image. Thanks for sharing !!

    Hi Tim,

Your image looks too tight in front of your subject. I think this image will work better in horizontal.
