i hate to say it, but i like playing with these guys! this one is from anhinga trail at everglades natl park. in the parking lot!! i took this while standing up and the crow on the ground to get this background. i thought it was pretty psychedelic!! it's totally natural. no fabrication. pp included a slight crop off the right and top. minimal sharpening as this was the 300mm f/4. wow, that thing is sharp!!!

    D300, 300mm, f/5.6, 1/1250s, 0EV, ISO 500

    thanks for looking. comments appreciated.

Now this is one bird with an attitude problem...:D I love it...you capture the expression very well...I sure would not want to tick him the wrong way...:p I like the multi colored background, it makes Mr. Attitude pop out at you...well done...I like it...

Interesting contrasts with the super bright yellows and the black plumage. I am not a big fan though to be honest. Hope you don't mind Harold. I do like the head angle, look and the details in its beautiful plumage though. :)

Hey Mr H - like those BG colours and nice details in the blacks.

I wonder if a bit more of a head turn - so that the beak/bill was on the same plane as the eye and hence the end of the beak was not slightly OOF would have been better??
