The replacement 50D Amazon sent me arrived last night so off I went this morning chasing Dragons when I came across this Backlit scene so I went for something a little different.

50D, 300 f/4 + 25mm ET, 1/160 at 5.6, Manual mode, Spot metered +1, Flash with diffuser - 1 2/3, ISO 200, Raw, Tripod, small crop and cloned out a blade of grass in the LRC

Love the lighting here. The translucent grass blades with water droplets against the lovely OOF BG makes this image wonderful. Nice use of flash to bring out the details on the body of DF. Hopw u have lots of fun with ur newly replaced gadget !

    Nicely done Don,
I like the central placement of you subject...the color rendition is good and you have fine details, along with a complimentary background...

Hi Don. This is a very nice image that has much going for it as Kaushik and Gus have outlined. I love the green background but the white spotlight-like effect behind the grass blade and d-fly does distract my eye a bit.

Hey Don, hope you have better luck with the new body. Good details and backlighting always adds a nice touch.

Beautiful backlighting, Don and love the bokeh that is sneaking around in the BG. This made my day because it isn't your typical DF image. Nicely done!
