Okay guys, I'm stumped this bird came in with a group of Northern Shovelers and Mallards but I've never seen a "White Duck" White Goose yes white duck no. He is shaped and looks like a mallard and about the same size including the curled back tail feathers, also got another "morph" in with that group it too looks like a mallard has a much darker green head from the neck back it looks like a pintail but has a large white breast will post this one later.
Maybe we live too close to three mile island ha!!

??? My first reaction was "Long Island Duckling" (aka dinner), but it does have the curled tail of a male Mallard; could it be a leucistic Mallard? If you see it out of the water, check to see if it has the hanging belly look of a domesticated duck...

As for the image, good exposure and sharp, but I would love to see the whole head reflection.

    later and love, artie

Okay Artie just for you here's the whole head reflection. I too guessed Leucistic Mallard, FYI it does not have the hanging belly typical of a domesticated duck.
    Thanks

Ah, I thought that you had added another image. Bummer about the distorted head reflection, but an interesting bird none-the-less.

thanks and later and love, artie
