A friend sent me this photo asking for some ID held. I thought I'd submit this to the experts. Any ideas?

Doug ...checked out some of my books...and believed it or not...Bird stamps from India....it could be a Black-Hooded Oriole...colors look right, eye ring also...one person to check with is one of our own moderadors Mr. S Patra..being from India he'd probably know..many Orioles are yellow but not many have hoods

Thanks Paul! That looks like a promising candidate. Any other ideas?

    Paul
I checked out Birds of Northern India by Oxford press and it looks like the Hooded has a lighter and more slender of a bill and the hood extends further down the neck. I found no other near matches in this book.
    Definitely not a Sharpy though:D

I'm no expert but it does look like an immature Black-Hooded Oriole (at least the one found in Wikipedia). I'm posting the image found on the following page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Black-hooded_Oriole_(Immature)_I_IMG_9847.jpg

Doug, that certainly looks like a match. I guess my book just had adults pictured.
