    Nikon D2x + 300mm f4; ISO 400; 1/180th @f5 - 1/3 EV. I seem to be hung up on f5. I need to experiment more to keep the tail in focus, but I love the blown out BG this setting gives.

    Like the image: sharp with a good exposure. Great BKGR. Now that is a perch with character. Folks should study it carefully... Kudos btw to your perch picker.

    Nice shot, I like the BG, what a rich colour that really makes the bird stand out. Timed nicely for the pose. plenty of detail, I would prefer a sharper tail.

    Great perch, pose and BG. I might sharpen the bird a bit more and apply some NR on the BG.
