This is a first try with my first primary lens, 400 DO. I attached to my old faithful 10d and went out to give it a whirl back in June of 07'. This was taken at Wako just as this beauty was disturbed by a fellow tricolored. A huge thanks to Lance for info on this forum!!!!
From where I sit, and from where you stood, you would could not have created a better image. Lesson: it ain't the lens and it ain't the camera; it's the stuff between the ears...

Yes Gyorgy, it was shot wide open (F4) as I was taking the lens for a spin and the bird was in motion of reacting to other heron. Shot at 1/200th . And yes Artie, I am amazed by this lens, I also find it works great with both 1.4 and 2xtc on a 1 series body!!!
