Robert O'Toole chimping on the beach of Fort DeSoto this April during Artie's IPT.
Robert is about to encounter some Chimps ... actually monkeys On the way to Japan !!!!:)
One of my favorite persons :)
Thanks for sharing this, David!
Robert chimping ???? I don't think so !!! Great captured moment and one we all know well !!!
My thought when I saw this image was, "Thankfully Robert was still wearing his camoflauge shorts. The birds might have seen him with that huge blue poncho." Also, he's not chimping, he's reviewing the unbelievable amount of awesome images he got that day!
Awesome image. I'm sure he will have fun in Japan!
Ok, for those of us who are not "in the know" what is chimping? Mr. O'Toole does not appear to be eating bananas, or engaging in any type of simian behavior in this shot. I do not know, nor care, what he does in his private life. ;-))

To chimp (verb):
1. To review images on the rear screen,
2. To photograph another photographer while in the field
This means that I was chimping by photographing Robert, who was chimping by staring at the back of his camera :)
Here's everything you need to know about chimping (don't forget to watch part II):
