    Default Avian Emporer

Managed this capture during a recent trip. It is cropped to 4 aspect and I left the trees to convey to the viewer how close to the ground this eagle was.

Larry, you are blessed to have access to such a magnificent bird. I read your reason for leaving the trees in but I find them distracting. I would recommend cloning them out. The importance of the photo to me is the bird, not how close it is to the ground. That being said, you have a sharp photo and I like the wing position. I would have liked to have seen the birds head more towards the sensor plane and the eye better illuminated. The center of attention seems to be the chest and feet.

Hi Larry I would also crop (not clone) the trees mainly to have the eagle larger in frame. I like the light on the bird and would select the area in front of the eye and lighten a bit !!! I like it a lot !!!

Beautiful lighting and nice and sharp Larry, I would probably crop out the trees to emphasize the bird as well.

I too cast my vote for cropping the trees. Love the detail and great BG.

Thanks for the compliments. The tree tops stay, my wife (and I) like them.
    :)

    I have a 16 x 20 print that is gorgeous.

gorgeous shot of a fantastic bird - agree on lightening the area in front of the eye. Personally would prefer without the tree tops:)

I wish for a better head turn, although we take what we can get. I'd definitely dial back the oversaturation in the yellow channel.
