    Redwoods National Park might have some of the funniest names for random little trails, like this one: "Damnation Creek Trail."

    The tall trees make strong compositional lines here David and the gaps in between lead you towards the bright background light - the scene seems to convey a very peaceful mood.

    Nice one David, no nits here. I think you did a good job making sense of the many vertical elements (trees:)). And I like the use of the dark FG to the brighter shafts of sunlight in the BG.

    Yes, I did try a similar view in a vertical, but it just didn't work for me because the sky became white pretty quickly--you can see in this horizontal that the sky shifts from orange to white at the top. Working vertically only exacerbated the problem so I gave up.
