no...the Dahlia wasn't streetwalking...I was walking down the street when I saw and captured it ;-p

It was in front of a florist shop in Seattle's International District...caught my eye and though I did buy the plant and bring it home this shot was taken on location

    Tech specs: mid-day 2pm sunny day, D2X @ iso 100, Nikon 17-55/2.8 - f5.6@125th, SB800 @ -2/3 ev stofen diffuser...cropped, de-saturated and added white vignette in PS

    Thanks for looking...Ric

Wow, this is lovely. I am not a big-time macro guy but I can not find anything I would recommend for improvement.

    Thanks Robert

Coming from someone with your photographic chops I take that as high praise

Hey Ric, I think you did a great job on this. I like the nice sharp details in the center and the very nice soft look at the edge. Nice mellow pastel color.

I like the treatment you have given this one Ric. The high key perimeter coupled with the pastel colours towards the centre is most effective. Well done!!

I love the subtle colors in the image, the positioning of the flower and the high key lighting. Very nice work.
