Wishing everyone a Happy Holidays and Safe and Healthy New Year!
Looking forward to another year of great images.
Taken in the same spot as my star point image. Cut the exposure short as the ever present clouds were moving in. I think a combo of light pollution and thin clouds.....cut the brilliance of the trails a bit. If the clouds ever leave agoin......will be trying this again soon. The color you see is the bright lights of Homestead and S. Miami creeping in during the almost 56 minute exposure. Any more north....would have blown the sky out totally. Will try it facing south next time.......as there was much less light pollution. Canon Mark 3 with the 17-40mmm lens at 17 mm and f4......all tripod mounted.

Got that Grad Filter you recommended and I am looking forward to trying it out. Singh Ray was out of stock so got the Lee 3 stop soft grad.
