    Hi All,

    My first post in this forum - just found the site this morning! Taken at the Venice Rookery 12/27 right at sunset.

    D300 - 200~400VR +1.4xTC - 1/320s @ F7.1 - ISO 400 - Manual Exposure - Spot metering on the whites.

    Jose,

    well captured behavioral image. If birds legs are also visible it would have been even better. may be a little more space at bottom?

    This is a very striking image. The black background really sets the Heron off.

    I agree as was previously stated, the only thing that distracts from the image is the fact you have the foliage covering the lower leg and tail of the heron... Still a very striking image, well done :)
