I think this is a very impressive shot. Nicely exposed and good detail. A little bit more space around the bird would improve what is an excellent image, in my humble opinion.

This is my first comment and I hope it is of the kind suited to this forum.

Sharp. Lovely soft light. Great underwing detail. My only wish would be for the far wing to be forward and raised so that we could have a good look at it. That and a bit more room.

Two more things: Welcome Adrian. Are John and Denise related? Did you guys know each other before BPN????

Aside from the right wing not being forward...well....it rocks!

    Excellent exposure, great feather detail.
It seems that is carrying something on the talons?

John I love the details and exposure here. Even though I'd also like to see a bit more space I'd love to have this in my collection.

Very nice image, John. Love the feather details and eye contact. Your choice of a wide aperture has rendered the busy BG pleasing blurred but enough DOF to cover the bird perfectly - well done.

    Artie,
This is pretty much a full frame. The only crop was worthless real estate from behind the eagle. I'll check the RAW file.

And BTW Denise and I are not related and haven't had the opportunity to meet. My loss I'm sure.

I was going to mention the whites as well! Nice work on them! I see alot of muddied white feathers and always try and fix mine up. Very nice image!
