    I took this last year in September at sunset. Settings were -

    Canon 40D with Sigma 50-500mm F4-6.3 APO DG HSM
    ISO 400
    1/400 sec
    f8.0 @500mm (on tripod)
    raw format
    exposure compensation -1
    metering mode evaluative

    Very nice action in this image and wonderful soft lighting, I very much like the composition but would like to see more room all the way around as I find the crop just a little tight. Perhaps a touch of S/H could bring up a little more detail as well as a roound of USM.

    At the time you were shooting the comp should have been close to + something Unusual to go minus Check histogram and get data on the last box on right

    Good pose I like you waited for the bird to do a something Would suggest having a bit more room !!!
