    Default Bisti Badlands/Wilderness

I just have to say that after spending the last 4 days photographing the Bisti Badlands that I am in awe of the location. I am in even greater awe of some of the amazing work I have seen from Bisti.

It is not easy to get to the good spots in sweet light--hiking over dry washes and badlands in the dark is not easy. Heck, it isn't all that easy in the daylight. I decided early on that I could concentrate on exploration and getting better at using the GPS--making photography a secondary priority. I am sore but quite happy. I cannot wait to return.....

It is hard to say--my body feels about as beast up--then again I never had any hip pain until the Nome torture walk of 2003. Definitely more nerve wracking as I was alone for most of the time...
