I took 700 images of this beautiful female Wilson's Phalarope in a few hours, one afternoon this May. I still haven't sorted the images - as I have soo many in all sorts of light, angles and reflections - I dont even know where to start! I took a cautious look this afternoon at this folder, and fixed up this one image, and didnt sort a single thing :(
Always happy to have the photos! But im hearing from many photographers that digital cameras and procrastination dont mix!
You've got a winner here Brandon! Just beautiful colour on the bird and the blue-green BG. Maybe a slight head turn clockwise would be optimal but really there's so much going on here that it's not a big deal. Love the subtle water reflections on the breast of the bird. There seems to be a slight halo around the head of the bird, maybe from sharpening?
I'd only give it a bit more room at bottom as I feel the reflected head is too close to the edge. Otherwise quite spectacular. Good luck sorting out all those images!! :-)
Just lovely. The blue and green and the concentric ripples - not to mention the colours on the bird. Agree with Dan regarding a little more room below but then I think you would need a little more above to keep the bird form moving too high in the image.
