Now that is amazing. Our birds in breeding plumage are much more colorful in the face but do not have the amazing hairdo.

Check out almost any photo of 80's era rock bands and you'll find mullets! :D Heck, I used to have one too! I don't think my wife has laid her eyes on those older photos yet LOL!

Thanks Daniel. That was my suspicion. I was not much of a rocker...

Only one mullet. But if you're still talking about fish you could have two or more (j/k)! Even non-rockers had mullets...country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, during his "Achy Breaky" era, had arguably one of the worst ones :-)

P.S. forgot to mention how I enjoyed this image...thanks for posting this.

The Johnny Winter's comment cracked me up, Jackie. That's who I immediately thought of, too!

Great photo BTW. What a cool looking bird!

Daniel explained it well. Where I grew up many guys with this hairdo even drove a certain kind of car. :)

Gorgeous bird and image... I like the branches/leaves in the corner and following the line of the bird.

Is it (was it?) Jonny Winters or Edger Winters... My mullet is too tight I can't remember.
