    Denise, I like everything about this except for the white hot center area. Either your exposure or your focus (or both) is off and it left a significant part of your image with no real detail.

    If you took this in raw format you might go back and see if you can recover those highlights, otherwise I'd give it another go and make sure you expose for the brightest white area of your image.

    It's certainly a nice composition and good detail through the edges - just need to recover that detail in the middle!

    Hey Denise, these seeds are tough to shoot with the wide dynamic range in exposure of the whites and the dark seed heads. As Jules points out you may be able to recover some more details in the whites in the raw file.

    I don't think this is blown out . The orig. file has all the detail in the middle I put a softening effect on it because I liked the way it looked
