    A little crop needed?

I quite like this as posted. When birds are small in the frame like this, I think the amount of detail maintained in the subject is key. This kildeer looks plenty sharp w/ plenty of detail. The few sticks emerging from the water help balance the comp. If anything, crop a bit from the top. I think if you crop too tight, it will lose it's charm.

    Hi AJ,

Nice habitat image, and you managed to place the subject close to a corner, a compositional must for small in the frame subjects.
As noted above, you coould loose some of the top and maybe some off the right too.
    Good exposure and details :)

I would crop top and a little left. I like the small branches to the left for perspective although others might want a tighter cleaner look.
