    Hey Al,

This one is not working for me. The bird in the BG is rather distracting, the foreground is cutting your subject's feet and the focused bird is dead centered. Were you trying to do something we don't know about?

I like the exposure and the sharpness of your main subject. I find the OOF bird distracting and don't like the line going across the front of the image. Also I think a vertical would have been nicer.

Although I don't mind the OOF bird, the foreground at bottom is very distracting. The centered composition works in my opinion because of the two bills facing outwards in opposite directions.

Love the bird in focus. Not sure about the oof godwit.
What the grey fg element is? Takes my eyes from the beautiful texture of the bg.

This works for me. I like the complementary head positions and the dreamy quality to the image overall. Maybe a dust spot on the far right?

Al, like this image too. It certainly makes you look twice--and sure qualifies as an unconventional shot-- I am not drawn to the oof bird--I keep coming back to the main subject.
