What do you do when you want to photograph the shore rocks, or maybe the lighthouse, but the wind is blowing 20+ mph? Try the waves instead!

    Nikon D80, Nikkor 105mm f/2.8, ISO 100, 1/4 sec @ f/22, morning, hazy.
Single capture, processing in LR2, cropped to pano format.

I like this strong image. The 1/4 sec SS allows a nice blur of the foam and gives a good feel for he motion.

Wow... that IS a strong image. I've only been fortunate enough to see one of the Great Lakes (Erie). I was amazed at the size of it.

You captured pleasing patterns in the waves. I have done these before and when you hit on that one that works, like this one, it is a good feeling.

I might suggesting loosing the sky and cropping into the BG water.

Like this as presented. We have a cottage on Lake Huron and I can hear the surf pounding in.

As Robert might have guessed, I like the strip of sky. And love the different colors of the water and the pattern of the waves. So I guess that I like it. A lot.
