    Hi Guys,

Here's another from my recent trip to Australia. We spent some time at the Goldcoast where late at night i saw a couple of these flying around. I waited for them to land in one of the palm trees and was able to get a couple of shots...

    Greetings,

That is one sight to see!!!!!
I would probably run the other way :)

Great use of flash. I would go back a tiny bit on the sharpening, or erase the small highlights in the fur.

Glad you had a nice trip.

    Happy New Year!!!

Way cool image Jeroen, I have seen these guys up close, they are huge.
For me the perch makes the image so interesting!

    Hi Jeroen,

Nice to see you posting here. We don't see subjects like this every day....nice interesting shot. I do think the flashlight is a bit on the harsh side...actually, I'm quite surprised that you were allowed to use flash on them. When I was in Costa Rica we weren't allowed to use such harsh flashlight (+2 is pretty hard) on the bats we came across. Excellent sharpness at such a huge focallenght....!
