I photographed this bee eater some time ago in Hungary. I did not like the 3:2 format for this picture, so tried to make a pano

    Hillebrand,
It's a little too tight on the to and the bottom for my taste. This (Eurasian?) Bee Eater is posing beautifully and the light is so soft that I'd like to see it have a little more room for its head and its tail. Also, you could crop inward from the left to make your subject less centered.

The other thing you might consider is selecting the background and using a Gaussian Blur to tone down the highlights in the green foliage.

This image has great color and a good perch. Is it natural or is it set up? I agree with the previous post and I would make the bird off-center by cutting off some of the dead space behind it to place the bird in the left third of the image.

good suggestions, thanks. This perch was a setup near their nesting wall. shot from a hide

Very innovative way of seeing a bird and perch :)

I like the pano look, just a bit off the left, and good to go as far as my taste. Good thinking!

I like the idea and the subject. I feel it is too tight and needs more on the bottom. I would also crop from left a bit and experiment with that look a bit.

Wonderful color and detail. The BG is to die for. I do agree that the pano works well, but this is a tad too tight for my taste.

very nice and colorful picture // the crop has made this different from others.. the BG and the sharpness is good but I think if the subject was in the left side of the frame this would be more effective .. thank you!
