Here I am with my new assistant, Annika. Annika was 5 months old around Thanksgiving when this picture was taken. We were out photographing the elk at Cataloochee in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Annika was helping her Mommy create "artsy" elk pictures by yanking on the camera strap, so Annika got to come help me for a little bit - and of course Mommy stopped taking elk pix and turned the camera on us...
Annika has been a good little trooper. She has learned to take naps in blinds, and as long as SOMETHING is moving that she can see, she will generally lay still while I take pix. Here in the next little bit though, she is going to become mobile, and all bets are off...
This is fantastic and little Annika is learning the rules of phtography at a young age. Love this image and many thanks for sharing this special capture with us Robert.
