    Default Pelican Dive

What a great idea for a forum - I love it!

This is a motion blur capture of a brown pelican diving to catch a fish. I believe I took this on Bowman's Beach in Sanibel. I'd love to hear feedback on this one - is the effect too much, or does it work? Either way, it's certainly abstract!

    Thanks to all!

Great idea. I have tried to just get one in focus and never succeeded. I would like it more if I could see more of the head. I realize saying that is easy and executing it is extremely difficult. Just my $.02

    Hi Scott,

I like your idea and have a few similar to this, one posted already bellow.

To make this more dramatic, I would crop it as a vertical pano, leaving some of the foreground foam out of the image.

    Can't wait for more :)

Fully agree with the vertical pano suggestion It will enhance motion I like it a lot ...... normally we want to see more of the bird

These images are fun to do With blurs always be on the lookout for colors !!!!

I love the idea, the diving motion and colors here. But more of the head, ideally before the entry to water so the bird is at least recognizable will be better for me. But nice one here. :)
