Another image made while in Brasil last month. The Aplomado Falcon hunt in pairs. I wish they were a little closer on the perch.

Nice sharp image and I like the bird separation as is. You might consider taking out the upper right branches, slightly distracting to my eye.

    Hey Adam,

Strong halos on this one. Lovely looking Falcons but I have to agree with Keith. Was this a heavy crop??

    Take care!

    Hi Adam,

I see halos around the head on each bird, mostly the top part.

Sorry, but I don't see the halos. I like your composition, it looks like an oriental tapestry :)

    Hey guys!
I will have to calibrate my monitor one of these days!
I see no halos at all! Love these two Falcons, really nice looking birds.
I am with you about havin' them closer.

Although I wouldn't call them strong I do see the halos. There is also one all along the bottom portion of the horizontal branch (but again not necessarily "strong"). I also see a single dust spot (see if you can find it). The BG colours are to die for, and I also like the composition. Very cool!

Great composition, setting and BG. Great to have two birds in the frame. As for the halos it doesn't look distracting on my monitor but I can see them most at the edges of the perch. Thanks for sharing!

Hey Daniel, I found the dust spot and removed it on my raw file.
    Thank you,

I love the light and the BKGR. Good self critique. The lost tail of the left hand bird is less than ideal.

Where abouts in Brazil did you take the shot, Adams? I live in Rio and visit the Pantanal quite often. I thought Fabs description of the oriental tapestry was great - a cultural eye, obviously!

Very nice image. I know you'd like them nearer but you were so fortunate to photograph both at once.
