    Just shooting around the backyard, as the mosquitoes are hard to bear in the Everglades right now.

    This is a Tillandsia that has been blooming lately.

    I really like the subject here, great pop of red against the rest of the image. For me, it seems a little bulls-eyed, though. I'd crop some off the bottom. I don't think the green leaves/needles/petals at the bottom of the center stalk add to the image, and the OOF elements at the bottom don't do as good a job framing the subject flower as well as the upper OOF ones do.

    I agree with Bruce, but I'd shave a little off the dark spot at the top, too. I like the overall image...I just think it needs a tighter crop overall.
