    Nikon D2H
    Nikon 600mm AF-S with TC20E 2X
    ISO 250
    WB Sunny
    1/1250 @ F16 Matrix Metered -1 (for strong silhouette).
    Ground level near the north beach pier at Ft.Desoto.

    This is an image I visualized over 20 years ago.
    On this late afternoon all of the elements came together.

    Out of the box in that I wanted the sun and sailboat center frame and that is the way I created this image.

    I think the title is perfect for this shot. I'm always in awe of those who visualize and think out of the box. Oh.....to have that type of creativity!!!!

    Awesome image.
    I love this type of shot. I have similar but not as sucessful as this. With my Canon 1D bodies I have been forced to use 1.4X + 2X or 2X+2X to get his close. And how did you get the boat that close to the camera. My sailboat sunball images have a sailboat 1/2 the size.

    James, I've been chasing an image like this for as long as I can remember and I recall how awsome it was the first time I saw it at a local artshow. Now I just hope one day to capure an image to equal it as I don't believe it could be bettered! Really great image!
