Hi folks ... captured the drake of the Mandarins just opposite of the Stork nest , in a quite dark and busy part of the forest . The Mandarins pair visited the little pond quite regularly for a couple of days , now disappeared .... was very difficult to get clean shots as the vegetation is sooo dense there .
Nevertheless I managed a few shots

Well done Andreas.This is a quite different from so many posts of this beautiful species on this site over the years but which which I have never seen.What I like as well as the stance of the bird are the extras, the few rocks and the bit of green not too big ,a bit of reflection and bits and pieces of feathers sticking out of the top of the bird but in bright colour and fairly sharp even back there.Really nice and 10000 iso not a problem.
Duck, pose, colors, and sharpness, superb. Pile of rocks and junk, not so much.

@ Arthur ... well the junk and rocks might be not the hottest stuff on planet earth , but unavoidable in this case . So I have to live with it ... . Unless I do use the Adobe KI junk to remove it ..... but the quality is not great with that tool IMHO.
