Spring is my favorite time of year, in part because of the migratory birds arriving and in mating season.

This frame was from last year around the first of May.

Oh hi Brian ... surfacing after a longer absence , nice to see you back .
You come back with a typical Sump shot ... lovely light , super low angle and the calling is the icing on the cake .
Nicely processed and I do love the overall colors and the showing tonal range .

    Very nice overall presentation

    Cheers Andreas

Super shot Brian - clean as a whistle, super pose and the tongue just adds a little extra. Low angle and amazing colours

I have long envied my American friends for the beauty of their Avocets. The tan colour looks very nice and more interesting than our plain black & white birds. Although they are beautiful in themselves.

This is a delightful shot - I love the posture with the foot out of the water and the calling. Very nice image and so well executed.

I'm always envious of your avocets! Love the call, raised foot, foreground and background. What's not to love?!
