    Hi folks ...
time to post a KF from my side .
Image captured at a commercial setup , which is only available in winter .
Went there only for one time this year , sadly missed the ice/snow period due to personal issues .
At least I got lucky with some nice weather ... for stationery shots , a nightmare for diving shots . As the pond is lying in shadow the whole day .... never had decent options for diving shots . As the required SS is just only reachable with crazy high ISO . So I made the best out of it .
I do like the darkish BG and the sun illuminated subject .

    Canon EOS R6 II
    EF 200 - 400 IS L at 400 mm
    Tripod

    F 8 ; Iso 8000 ; 1/3200 sec ... prepared for diving shot at all times

Processed with DT 4.6.1 and PSCC 2024 ; cropped and added canvas to the top for a better balance

After uploading ... I would say the BG can go darker i.e. 1/3 stop if not 1/2

Thanks for watching and commenting to my previous postings

    Cheers Andreas

The subject stands out very well on a pleasing perch, I find the background just fine, the paler colour seems compliment the birds breast colouring. Excellent details and colours - super shot.
