    An image from last fall. The sun was just breaking the horizon. The light shadow to the left is actually from a full moon.
    saturation and contrast bumped.
    Nikon Z9, 800/6.3 S

    Super atmospheric shot with lovely colors , right amount of detail in the subject .
    I might try to darken the " darker " BG tones to emphasize the fog / mist more

    I like it too, just a hint of detail in the subject works well. I would consider reducing the highlights and the saturation in the background by a small amount.

    Really good scene Jack, both posts. I would likely have positioned the bird a bit more left of center.

    Nicely done in seeing the situation here. Such a fiery sunrise! I'd personally try to remove the faint dark blotch at left of the perch as it does catch my attention. But very memorable image!

    I prefer the second blacker one but am puzzled as to why you centered the subject. Did you shoot any horizontals?
