Hi folks ... have not seen these in photographic distance for a long time .
So I tried my luck at a spot where they are used to feeders , so I placed my own a bit away in the bush ... watching them from a distance .
Then I tried my to watch them from my portable blind and it worked for a good deal
At least I am happy with the possibility to get very close and shoot them ... not sure if the feeder will be excepted from bypassing folks , as it is not far away from a walking path into the woods . But I will see

Beautiful pose and focus bang on. Details are all there. Whilst I find the colours pleasing they don't seem to be quite right to me. The golden feathers seem a little too rich golden and the red head I think is borderline over-saturated, these are minor issues - a really good image - congratulations - not always quite so easy as you might think to get a bird on a stick is it?

Thanks Jon ... glad you like it in general .
The color issues you have , I do not have or see them . I like them as I posted , but can be displayed for sure slightly differently .

Nice pose all in the DOF. Colors look pretty good to me although in Australia they seem to have a richer brown.

Thanks Colin for your comment , they do vary for sure in color . It also depends on the lighting and processing , but I would agree I could have gone for more deeper brownish tone !! Thanks for the pointer

    Cheers Andreas
