    Default Alpine Chough III

Hi folks ... back to the Swiss Alps
Image captured on a decently lit late morning , as the Choughs always appeared quite late to that location .
They were always looking for food as the location was frequented a lot with humans
Wish I had a bit more room at the foot of the frame

    Canon EOS r6 II
    RF 400 iS L + 1,4 TC
    HH

    F 8 ; Iso 5000 ; 1 / 4000 sec ( always ready for potential flight shots )

Processed with RT 4.6.1 and PSCC 2024 ; slight crop from top and RHS

Thanks for watching and commenting to previous postings

Super shot, it took a second or two for my eyes to accommodate but you have some super detail in the dark plumage. I like the pose and the setting - well done.

Thanks Jon ... glad you finally see the details in the dark plumage , no wonder if you look at the strong contrast .

Lovely details under an exposure situation that would trip-up some. If it were mine I'd eliminate the blade of grass jutting out from the bird as well as the grasses in the BR corner.

Wow! What a bird and a wonderful image. I am fine with the room at the bottom. I'd lose the grasss strand that is poking him.
